The salt substitute (which is a mineral supplement)has been added to reduce the total sodium for a healthier choice.
It is also a requirement of DIABETES SA TO HAVE A REDUCED SODIUM INTAKE.
The xanthan gum is a vegetable based, Gluten free thickener – LOW CARB – used instead of all the corn & wheat starchy thickeners.
Preservatives- 0.03 % – Minimum amount, just enough to ensure that you don’t get Salmonella or any other food nasty!
Thus ensuring that it is a food safe product.
